Thangalaan Trailer Talk: A Race for Gold and Freedom

Chiyaan Vikram is the son of gold in the trailer of Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan. He is a tough nut to crack ("what goes on in that mind of yours?" he is asked by Parvathy Thiruvothu's character). But we know one thing that's on his mind: gold. India is under the British Raj when Lord Clement (Daniel Caltagirone) is assigned to Vikram's village. And the Britisher gives Vikram the task of getting him some gold from the gold fields. The film revolves around Vikram's tribe navigating subjugation, sacrifice and a fierce fight from their village protector Aarathi (Malavika Mohanan).

The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by A Kishor Kumar.
