"Genius" writer Nayan (Tanvi Azmi) is being interviewed for a book about her life. When she slips into a coma, the author decides to talk to her daughter, Bollywood actress Anuradha (Kajol), instead. "Agar mera mooh khul gaya, bahut beizzat hogi (If I start talking, she'll be humiliated)," she says. There are flashbacks of heated arguments between the two that involve smashed photo frames and slammed doors. Anuradha calls her mother a "sick woman" and says she felt unsafe living at home. There are also glimpses of the actress' relationship with her own daughter, Masha (Mithila Palkar), who she describes as "perfectly balanced".
Written and directed by Renuka Shahane, Tribhanga releases on Netflix on January 15.
